Prezi Tools to Help!

After Mr. Koehler's tutorial in the media center on Monday, we will now be creating a Prezi that follows the ABC organizational format.  You will be highlighting 26 different elements from your S.S.R. book this quarter.  Prezi's will be showcased with your classmates on Friday, February 28th.   We will be using a portion of this Tuesday-Thursday classes to create and polish our Prezi's.  Have your purple brainstorm packet and purple expectations page next to you while you work.

Previewing Literature Circle Title Options for Quarter B

Today you will be previewing Quarter B literature circle reads.  Refer to your preference list you were given and watch all of the book trailers/read the book summaries before listing your preferences on the sheet of paper.  Please make sure your headphones are on and properly plugged into your computer.  You will be reading and discussing this title with Reading9-10 students across all sections of the day through an online forum during the first four weeks of quarter B (Discussions will be once/week).

Comprehending the Persuasive Essay

Thursday you will be reading a student-authored persuasive essay, very similar to the type of writing you will be expected to complete as a junior for the NeSA writing exam.  We will practice comprehending persuasive writing by:
1). Reading the essay
2). Using the numbering system for Main Points/Reasons, Support Details, and Examples while we read.

Mapping out a Persuasive Argument
